Peresyp

The golden mean of the Azov coast of Temryuk district is the village of Peresyp. For many centuries, nature created a narrow sandy strip here, which eventually separated a small part of the Azov Sea, having formed the Akhtanizovsky firth. The Cossacks who were exploring these places dug a narrow sandy isthmus that separated the firth from the Sea of Azov to regulate water exchange. The narrow channel was regularly covered with sand because of winds and rains, and residents had to manually clear the channel, "pour the sand". Now Peresyp is a great place for rest, a spot of complete harmony with nature. In the firth, not far from the village, there is a plantation of exquisite flowers with a delicate aroma - the Valley of Lotusus. Viticulture remains one of the main occupations in Peresyp, because the Taman Peninsula has been famous for its delicious wine since ancient times.
