Visitors to the Museum of Cosmonautics immerse themselves in the atmosphere of incredible achievements of science and technology, learn about the amazing conquest of the Universe by man. The history of Russian cosmonautics, from the first flight to the present day, is presented in one place - in the only Museum of Manned Cosmonautics in the South of Russia, which contains more than a thousand exhibits, including those from the Yu.A. Gagarin. The choice of the location is not accidental; in the popular resort of Arkhipo-Osipovka, the cosmonauts are undergoing post-flight rehabilitation.

Here are models of launch vehicles, spacecraft, automatic stations and artificial earth satellites, an interactive physical analogue of the Vostok spacecraft, a stereo complex of the International Space Station, a descent vehicle of the SOYUZ 30 spacecraft (crews of P. Klimuk and M. Germashevsky). Visitors can see flight suits and space suits of astronauts.

The museum has personal belongings of famous cosmonauts, experienced guides will tell you about the legendary history of space exploration, help you get acquainted with a large-scale exhibition of photographs and rare documents from 55 years of manned space flights. Here is a personal photo exhibition of images from space, made by Yuri Lonchakov, a participant in three space flights, Hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut of the Russian Federation, currently the head of the Yu.A. Gagarin. The museum displays in the open access unique book exhibits from the funds of the museum of the Yu.A. Gagarin, books donated by the authors individually to cosmonauts, including rare editions donated by Yu.A. Gagarin.
