Olympic Park

Олимпийский парк

The Olympic Park is one of the main venues of the 2014 winter Olympic games in Sochi, located in the coastal cluster of Sochi. On the territory of the Olympic Park there are sports facilities where competitions in ice hockey, speed skating, short track, figure skating, Curling, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies of the XXII winter Olympic games were held.

The largest structure in the Olympic Park is the Fisht stadium, which hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the XXII winter Olympic games. All other sports facilities of the coastal cluster are arenas for holding competitions on ice.

The second largest sports facility with a capacity of 12,000 spectators is the Bolshoy ice Palace, where ice hockey competitions were held. The Olympic Park is also home to the iceberg ice sports Palace, the small ice arena Puck, the Adler arena indoor skating center, the Ice cube Curling arena, two training arenas, and the Medal Plaza.

Now the Olympic Park is a place of active entertainment and positive emotions. The Olympic Park's slogan is "Territory of active life". For thrill-seekers, an extreme Park has been created here, and Bicycle and Segway rental areas are open. If 50 hectares of the Park seem small for Cycling, next to the Olympic Park there is a new embankment that stretches for 6 kilometers along the sea, and where a bike path is equipped.

As a souvenir, you can buy mugs, t-shirts and key rings with the symbols of Sochi Autodrom in souvenir shops.

The Central attraction of the Olympic Park is the fountain "Cup of the Olympic flame". The fountain is located on the Central square of the Olympic Park. To create water light and music shows, the fountain has more than 240 mini-guns, 6 Hyper-guns, a water mist system, 12 robots with fan paddlers, thousands of strobe lights and color spotlights that create a spectacular and dynamic illumination of the fountain's jets, whose height reaches 50 meters.

All the high-tech equipment that makes the Olympic fountain the most striking attraction in Sochi is hidden underground. Under the bowl, which holds 2 thousand tons of water, there are fog generators, powerful pumps, a water treatment station, and compressed air storage tanks.

The light and music fountain was built for the 2014 Olympic games.

In the Olympic Park, you can visit the unique Nikola Tesla electric Museum and the Soviet-era Automuseum of transport, where you can see car rarities preserved in a single copy.
