Monument "Exodus"

Памятник «Исход»

In 1920, the Civil War split Russia into "Whites" and "Reds." Now all over the country there are monuments to the victims of this tragic page in history. Monument "Exodus" (Novorossiysk) was installed on April 12, 2013. It is dedicated to the exodus of the troops of the White Army and the Cossacks who supported them from "red" Russia. The sculptor Alexander Suvorov depicted an officer of the White troops and his war horse. The height of the monument is seven meters.

A reference to the creation of this monument in Novorossiysk is the hero of Vladimir Vysotsky from the movie "Two Comrades Served" and a landmark episode when a horse rushes after a departing ship, and a White Guard is forced to shoot his comrade in arms.

Monument "Exodus" is installed on the embankment of Novorossiysk, which almost 100 years ago was a "witness" of the events of the Civil War.
