The open-air complex for wild animals at the Laura cordon is the closest site to the city of Sochi in the Caucasus Biosphere Reserve and the first complex of its kind in the reserves of the Caucasus. In the open-air cage complex you can get acquainted with the richness of the fauna of the Caucasus reserve, for example, the Caucasian red deer, roe deer, the rarest ancient animal - bison, fox, jackal, raccoon dog, wild boar and other mammals live here. In addition, such rare species of birds as the steppe eagle, white-tailed eagle, vulture, and swans have settled here. The vast territory of the Aviary complex and the beautiful mountain landscapes surrounding the forest make the visitors feel the richness and beauty of the protected nature.

In general, the fauna of the Caucasus Biosphere Reserve includes 74 species of mammals, 10 species of amphibians, 19 species of reptiles, in the avifauna there are 241 species of birds, some of them are listed in the Red Book of Russia and regional red books.
